What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
For our ancillary tasks and our production we used a variety of methods to collect feedback from our audience. We decided to do this because we wanted to see if people liked our ideas and they fitted in with the conventions of our genre, we collected our feedback from our target audience which were majority teenagers who were interested in the indie genre. From our feedback it showed us which of our ideas were strong and what we could do to improve but also it gave us a wide range of honest opinions, from this it helped us plan our music promotion. A disadvantage about getting feedback from our audience was that some people felt nervous about what to say because they didn’t know what to say so just agreed with our ideas without giving an honest opinion. Also from our feedback some of it was detailed from some people however some people were very brief with their feedback making it hard to work on this.

One way of collecting audience feedback was using a vox pop. This is where the audience were all asked set questions about what they would like to see in a music video and if they like performance or narrative. From using this gave us qualitative data and people giving us there own opinions meaning it was easier to work with as we could find links between what the audience liked.
